E.L. Meyers Varsity Cheerleaders

The Meyers Varsity Cheerleading program is a cheer program that works hard to keep community tradition & prides itself with promoting school spirit and getting involved in community service projects. This year's cheer team consists of 17 cheerleaders from 9th thru 12th grade. The team works diligently year round preparing to support the Football, Boy's Basketball and Wrestling programs by preparing for pep rallies, painting signs, performing & cheering during the games. The squad also attends cheer camp each summer, stunt clinics and participates in the community Veteran's Day, Christmas and St Patty's Day parades. Every year the Senior Cheerleaders participate in the All Star Football Game sponsored by "Wilkes-Barre UNICO chapter." in November and the entire squad volunteers their time to cheer and motivate participants who run in the local races for Wendy's Wonderful kids Half Marathon and 10K run held Labor Day Weekend also the Renal Race in March. The team helps raise money for the Coaches VS Cancer Foundation to benefit the American Cancer Society. The girls are not only committed to serving their school and community, but they are also committed to achieving academic success in the classroom.
